3D-Printed titanium hip cups aim to prevent bone loss after surgery

NCT ID NCT06287021

Summary

This study is testing whether a new 3D-printed, highly porous titanium hip socket (cup) helps preserve bone density better than a standard hip socket after total hip replacement surgery. Researchers will measure bone density around the implant using special X-ray scans over two years in 50 patients. The goal is to see if the new design leads to better long-term stability and integration with the patient's own bone.
