3D-Printed braces take on MARA in battle for better bites

NCT ID NCT07340242

First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two fixed braces—a 3D-printed twin block and a MARA appliance—to see which works better for correcting a small lower jaw in preteens. About 60 children with a specific type of bite problem will be randomly assigned to one of the braces or a no-treatment group. The goal is to measure changes in jaw and teeth position using X-rays and to track quality of life and any problems over 6 months.
