First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether 3D printed models of a patient's own aortic aneurysm can help surgeons plan surgery better. Ten adults with thoracic or abdominal aortic aneurysms who are scheduled for non-emergency surgery will have their CT scans turned into physical models. The main goal is to see if this approach reduces surgery time. The study does not involve any new drugs or treatments—it focuses on improving surgical preparation.
