Do 3D printed aligners really move teeth correctly? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07273552

Summary

This study aims to measure how accurately 3D printed clear aligners move the roots of front teeth during treatment for gaps. Researchers will use special 3D X-ray scans (CBCT) taken before and after treatment in 14 adults to compare the actual tooth movement to the planned movement. The study will also check for any changes in bone thickness or minor root shortening that might occur.
