Smart aligners could close the gap in open bite treatment

NCT ID NCT07420777

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether 3D-printed shape memory aligners can fix an anterior open bite (when front teeth don't touch) in adults aged 18-35. About 51 participants will be split into three groups: one gets standard clear aligners with attachments, another gets the new 3D-printed aligners without attachments, and the third gets the new aligners with attachments. The goal is to see which approach works best and how patients feel about their treatment.
