New 3D jaw plate tested to mend fractures
NCT ID NCT07311239
Summary
This study tested a specific 3D-shaped titanium plate for surgically fixing broken jawbones near the joint. Fourteen adult patients with this type of fracture had the plate implanted. Doctors used CT scans to check how well the bone healed and measured patients' pain levels and jaw movement over three months to see how well the plate worked.
