NCT ID NCT06879860
First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using one stitch to hold a 3D mesh patch in place during hernia surgery leads to less long-term pain and fewer hernias coming back compared to using no stitches at all. About 150 adults with a moderate-to-large inguinal hernia will take part. The main focus is on pain and hernia recurrence in the year after surgery.
