3D maps aim to pinpoint prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT07296510
Summary
This study tested whether creating a 3D map of the prostate from medical scans could help doctors perform more accurate biopsies. Researchers worked with 436 patients who needed a prostate biopsy due to suspicious areas seen on scans. They used special software to build a 3D model to guide the biopsy needle, aiming to see if this method improved the detection of significant cancer.
