First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested whether a 3D imaging device used during colonoscopy can more accurately classify colon polyps and adenomas than standard 2D imaging. About 460 adults with diagnosed polyps took part. The goal was to see if the 3D view helps doctors decide the right treatment during the procedure, using lab results as the gold standard. Participants were followed for 30 days to track any side effects.
