3D camera aims to stop deadly drug dosing errors in the ER

NCT ID NCT06645548

Summary

This study aimed to test if a 3D camera could quickly and accurately estimate a patient's weight in the emergency room. Inaccurate weight guesses can lead to dangerous drug dosing mistakes. Researchers planned to compare the camera's estimates to standard methods to see if it led to fewer medication errors. The trial was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
