New 3D imaging reveals how different jaw surgeries change facial features
NCT ID NCT07595978
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at 31 people with a jaw condition called skeletal Class III (where the lower jaw sticks out). Researchers used 3D imaging to compare how the face changed after two types of corrective jaw surgery: a newer, less invasive method and the traditional approach. The goal was to understand the differences in soft tissue changes, not to test a treatment.
