New pink eye treatment trial seeks to clear infection

This study tested a new iodine-based eye drop gel (IVIEW 1201) against a common antibiotic eye drop (ofloxacin) to see which works better to cure bacterial pink eye. It involved 129 people aged 15 and older with recent pink eye symptoms. The main goal was to see if the new treatment could clear up eye redness and discharge as well as or better than the standard antibiotic.
