NCT ID NCT01916148

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study uses a special PET scan called 18F-DOPA to find tiny insulin-making spots in the pancreas of people with low blood sugar from conditions like congenital hyperinsulinism or insulinoma. The goal is to see if the scan can accurately locate these spots so doctors can remove them with surgery. People of any age who have low blood sugar and are eligible for pancreatic surgery may join.
