New injection aims to ease pain after abdominal surgery

This early-stage study tests a new medicine called SYH9089 for pain after abdominal surgery. About 60 adults will receive either the new drug, an active painkiller, or a placebo. Researchers will check safety and how well it controls pain in the first days after surgery.
