Rice bran may soothe radiation mouth pain in cancer patients

This study tests whether taking rice bran supplements can reduce severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy in head and neck cancer patients. About 80 adults receiving radiation will take rice bran during treatment. The goal is to lessen pain and improve quality of life.
