Liquorice gel takes on laser in gum disease battle

This study compared a liquorice nanogel to a diode laser as add-on treatments for advanced gum disease (stage III periodontitis). Twenty-seven adults with deep gum pockets were treated. The goal was to see which method better reduced harmful bacteria and improved gum health.
