First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at how an implanted device that stimulates the vagus nerve changes brain and heart activity in people with depression that hasn't improved with other treatments. Researchers will measure brain waves and heart signals in 12 adults to understand these effects. The goal is to learn more about how this therapy works, not to test a new treatment.
