First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether using ultrasound to guide spinal anesthesia is better than the traditional method of feeling for landmarks. 136 adults having elective surgery were randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. Researchers measured how long the procedure took, how many needle sticks were needed, and if there were any complications.
