This study aimed to see if breathing in nitric oxide gas could protect healthcare workers from catching COVID-19 while caring for infected patients. It planned to enroll 470 workers but was stopped early with only 24 participants. The main goal was to compare how many people in the nitric oxide group versus the control group developed COVID-19.
